The Nike Air Max shoes have truly left a mark (or a Swoosh) on sneaker culture. Starting with the Air Max 1, which introduced the visible Air unit, every new model has been a fresh take on the original idea. This includes the Nike Air Max 270, which was released in early 2018 and is now still a popular choice among sneakerheads worldwide.

The Nike Air Max 270 made its first appearance in 2018 and quickly became a popular pick for sneaker lovers. Nike’s deep history inspired the design of the Air Max 270. Designer Dylan Petrenka wanted to make sure that these shoes offered comfort for all-day wear while also changing how we see Air technology. The team focused on creating a sneaker featuring the largest Air unit Nike had ever produced, which makes the Air Max 270 still one of the most striking Nike shoes ever created.

To improve the design of the Nike Air Max 270, Petrenka and his team carefully considered each detail of the shoe. They made sure that even the collar should be unique while the materials chosen for the inside were both soft and flexible for comfort. They also updated the lacing system with a TPU-molded eye stay and added a magnetic closure strap.

Nike designed the shoe using a running last to ensure a better, more modern fit. Interestingly, the same last was also used for the Nike Air Force 270, highlighting some of the shared design elements between both models. The commitment to using Air technology is clear in every aspect of the shoe, with careful thought put into making it both comfortable and stylish for everyday wear.
